Special Olympics NY is looking for health professional and medical student volunteers for their Healthy Athletes - free preventative health screening program at Special Olympics New York’s Fall Games on Friday, October 16th from 3:30pm-7:30pm in Glens Falls City Park. They will be offering screenings in Fit Feet (podiatry), FUN Fitness (physical therapy), Strong Minds (social and emotional wellness) and Special Smiles (dentistry).
What is Fit Feet?
Fit Feet is a Healthy Athletes discipline focused on the foot and lower-extremity health of Special Olympics athletes. Volunteers will have the opportunity to assist with screenings and learn more about providing inclusive, accessible health services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). The screening will be led by Special Olympics Clinical Director Dr. Kurt Relation, DPM.

No prior experience working with Special Olympics is required; training is provided!
How to Register:
- Sign in or create a volunteer profile on the Special Olympics Portal
- Click ‘Event Signup’, then choose ‘2026 State Fall Games’
- Look for the ‘keyword’ box on the top left and type ’Health’
