Licensed Podiatrist (Part-Time, On-Site)
Job Overview
Corporate Hiring Solutions Inc. is seeking a licensed New York State Podiatrist to provide on-site clinical services within a structured inpatient healthcare facility. This role focuses on delivering podiatric care to adult inpatient populations, with occasional services for adolescent patients as needed.
This position requires strong clinical expertise, compliance with healthcare regulations, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary clinical team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive podiatric care including:
- Nail and foot debridement
- Treatment of corns, calluses, infections, and inflammation
- Management of diabetic foot conditions and ulcers
- Evaluation and treatment of foot and ankle disorders
- Deliver services on-site twice per month across inpatient units on a rotating basis
- Coordinate care with clinical staff and facility leadership
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records
- Adhere to all applicable regulations, including:
- HIPAA compliance
- OSHA standards
- Infection control protocols
Minimum Qualifications
- Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM)
- Active, unrestricted New York State Podiatry License
- Minimum 2+ years of clinical experience preferred
- Experience in inpatient care, wound care, or diabetic foot management preferred
Credentialing & Compliance Requirements
- Ability to complete facility credentialing and privileging process
- Willingness to undergo:
- Background checks
- Child Abuse Registry clearance
- Credential verification
- Ability to meet standards aligned with:
- Joint Commission (JCAHO)
- Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS)
Additional Requirements
- Maintain active malpractice (professional liability) insurance
- Provide required clinical and credentialing documentation
- Ability to work under direction of clinical leadership
